Sala Thai is a go to for my family for Thai food, I haven't dined in a while but finally got the chance to recently. We ordered a few things for family style: the string beans, pad thai, crispy chicken, and basil fried rice. My favorite dish was the crispy chicken, don't miss this one!! The rest of the dishes were good but not necessarily out of the world. Service and ambiance was very family friendly.
Classic Thai food. Great ambiance. Cute small with fast and friendly service. Can seat small and big groups. On popular nights there is a 30-45 min wait for big groups like fridays and saturdays duhh. Pad Thai and chicken satay were my fav! I only wish they offered the spring roll with peanut sauce appetizer, but everything has been good! Great beer too! Parking right outside. Safe area.
I love Sala Thai and think it's one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. Have been here over the years, but most recently had dinner this week and it did not disappoint, as usual. Our favorite dish is the crispy fish - it comes out SO hot and crispy on the outside, but so soft on the inside, and the sauce that it comes with that you pour over the fish is the perfect sweet pairing. This time we also got the drunken noodles, larb salad with ground chicken, roti, a fried rice and the panang curry with two extra orders of white rice. Everything was super delicious and worth ordering. I will say that portion sizes may have gotten a little smaller (was most noticeable with the drunken noodles) since pre-COVID, but I guess that's normal for every restaurant nowadays. The four of us still left really full and satisfied! Service was quick though we came on a weeknight so it wasn't too busy. Plenty of parking in the lot around the restaurant as well as large seating areas, with two individual bathrooms in the corner.
We love Sala Thai! Everything is very flavorful and give good portions too. We always order the fried fish with garlic sauce. This time we ordered crab fried rice, green curry, pad Thai, and grilled pork. Everything came out hot and pretty quick too. There was no wait for us around lunch time on a weekend. The crowd was normal where most of the tables were filled up. This place is our go to Thai restaurant when we are craving Thai food.
I ordered the bamboo shoots with tofu and pad see ew with tofu for take out. Bamboo shoots: It looked like it was going to be spicy but it wasn't actually that spicy, and was mostly more acidic and sour in flavor. I thought it was decent. Pad see ew: It was savory and yummy. Nothing particularly unique but I enjoyed it. Not as heavy on the soy sauce as some places make it.
